The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Cross-border investment navigator for single-industry towns / CINNAMON (KA 4032)". The project is being implemented under the Karelia cross-border cooperation program. The project partners from the Russian side are the Karelian Regional Institute of Continuous Professional Education of PetrSU and the Development Corporation of the Republic of Karelia.

From the Finnish side - the Kainuun-Etu Development Agency and the University of Eastern Finland.

The meeting on January 31 was attended by representatives of monotowns of the republic, administration and business, and colleagues from Finland.

The joint project is aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of single-industry towns in Karelia and the Kainuu region, strengthening cross-border investment opportunities, promoting entrepreneurial initiatives, and developing separate mechanisms for diversifying the economy in single-industry towns.

The active stage of the project implementation began in 2020.

On January 31, an investment navigator for single-industry towns was presented at the round table - https://cinnamon.mybusiness10.ru/. The Russian and Finnish partners outlined the interim results of the project, presented other information resources to support investors and entrepreneurs, and discussed ways to develop the territories.
